The above figure shows back connection bimetal thermometer as an example,Two factors need to be considered in calculating its stem length.One is the installation method and the total installation height;The other is the insertion depth of the environment and whether the insertion depth is connected to the thread?The details are as follows:

If the installation method is screw thread or flange connection,stem length = total mounting height - gauge height - thread or flange height - mounting base height (if there be);This calculation method is only suitable for back connection bimetallic thermometers.If radial or bottom connection bimetallic thermometer is not applicable;

If the insertion depth is connected to the thread,Stem length = insertion depth -thread height;If the insertion depth is not connected with thread, stem length = insertion depth.
